About
Hey, I'm Shannon.
I'm a small business owner who got tired of watching money walk out the door. For years I ran my company on one card — earning a flat 1% on everything — and didn't think twice about it. That's what the bank gives you. That's what everybody does.
Turns out "everybody" was leaving thousands of dollars a year on the table.
My background is in sales and marketing — I'm not a financial planner, I'm not a banker. But once I started doing the math on my own spending, the gap was so wide I had to keep pulling on the thread. I rebuilt my card stack. The numbers went from roughly $1,000/yr in cash back to over $4,000. On the exact same spending.
I started Cash Back CFO because I kept hearing the same thing from other owners: "I know I should look into this. I just don't have time." So I did the work, and now I share it — in plain English, no jargon, no upsells, no fluff. Just the right card for the right dollar.
What I believe
Three things, plainly.
Your time is the asset.
If a strategy takes you ten hours a week, it's the wrong strategy. Cash back should run on autopilot.
Honesty over hype.
I only recommend cards I'd carry myself. If a card pays a bigger affiliate commission but you shouldn't apply, I'll tell you not to.
Small business deserves better tools.
Most personal-finance content treats us like an afterthought. We're not. We spend more, more strategically — we should be earning more.
